COSMOLINE DIRECT's VCI-FERROUS PAPER ROLLS
Protects All Ferrous Metals (Steel, Iron, etc.) from Rust & Corrosion
Premium Corrosion Inhibiting VCI Paper.
Made from the highest quality neutral natural kraft paper without the use of chlorine or other chemical bleaching. Extremely easy to use, you simply wrap your products to be protected and fold the edges together. Use adhesive tape as needed to hold paper folds in place.
The coating on the paper vaporizes, reaching all metal surfaces to provide complete corrosion protection. Parts protected with VCI-FERROUS can be painted, welded and soldered. The protective layer does not influence physical properties of most sensitive electrical components, including conductivity and resistance. Fully recyclable and repulpable.
Cosmoline Direct's VCI-FERROUS paper is commonly used to protect products for storage and shipment in a wide variety of ways: for single item packaging or interleaving; end closures for shipping tubes, insert strips for recessed areas in large packages; and as sheet liners or separators between products.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Metal producing: coils, wire reels, plate, bar, etc.
- Metal forging and die casting: raw and machined forgings and castings
- Metalworking: stamping, sheet metal work, springs, bearings, fasteners, tube, pipe, nails, etc.
- Finished products: engines, machinery, equipment, tools, hardware, appliances, instruments, motors, etc.
- Electrical and electronic components, controls, etc.
METALS PROTECTED:
- All ferrous metals - iron, steel, etc.
USAGE:
- Use 1 sq ft of VCI for every 1-3 sq ft of metal surface. Use at least 1 sq ft of VCI for every cubic ft of void space.
- Does not need to be sealed around product, but product must be within 12" of the VCI paper.
- Only for use with ferrous metals, such as iron and steel.
- Not recommended for use with items containing nickel.
SPECIFICATIONS:
- Not Acid free.
- VCI anti-rust coating is only on the non-printed side.
